This 4 days Western Kenya wildlife safari package takes you to some of the most hidden untamed gems in the western region of Kenya. It includes Saiwa Swamp National Park, a haven for the rare Sitatunga Antelope, and Kakamega Forest National Reserve, Kenya’s last remaining largest tropical rainforest. You will also head for Ndere Island in Kisumu, a scenic walk-away park with epic views, and Kit Mikayi a stunning rock suitable for rock climbing and bird watching.
Also, it has a city tour in Kisumu Dala where you will visit the Kisumu Museum, Dunga Beach, Hippo Point, Kisumu City Council Hall, and Kenyatta Sports Ground.

Upon your arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by our Naicef team. After a short briefing of your Western Kenya safari, you will then be transferred to Wilson Airport for your flight to Kisumu.
The flight takes about an hour to reach Kisumu City where you will then be transferred to your hotel for checking and unpacking. From there you will then visit your first destination Ndere Island National Park.
You will head for the Ndere Island headquarters on the mainland for a brief introduction. You will then have a boat ride now to the island which only takes a few minutes.
On the island you will be able to enjoy the different game views and even beautiful nature walks to the highest point of the island. At the viewpoint, you can enjoy scenic views across Kisumu areas and even the Homa hills in Homa Bay.
After exploring the Ndere Island and the different game views, you will then head back to Kisumu town for lunch. Enjoy your deliciously prepared meal as you have a moment of relaxing for yet another wildlife safari.
You will then proceed to your next destination, Kisumu Impala Sanctuary, a haven for the Impalas. Apart from the Impalas, you will get to enjoy other different game views and bird species, and epic shoreline views of Lake Victoria.
Later in the evening, you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

The next day early in the morning after breakfast, you will depart for Kit Mikayi more so called, the Crying Stone. The site offers stunning views of the area and even of different birds and plant species as you climb up the rock
Later you will drive back to Kisumu for lunch and a moment of siesta. In the evening you will head for an epic city tour within Kisumu city. Enjoy the entailments of Kisumu Dala such as a visit to the Kisumu Museum, Dunga Beach, hippo point & Kisumu Pier, and then head back to your hotel.

After having breakfast, you will check out as you head to Kakamega town. On reaching, you will first visit Kakamega Forest National Reserve.
Here you will get to explore the majestic forest as you engage in activities such as game viewing, bird watching, and nature walks. Get to bond with nature in this thrilling tropical rainforest as you head deeper. Later you will head now to your hotel for checking in and lunch.
You will have a moment of relaxing from the trekking and hiking after lunch. After that in the evening, you will head to Nabongo Mumia Cultural Centre for a change of the safari tour and get to learn something about the great Wanga Kingdom. Get to interact with the local villagers and even try out the Luhya’s traditional drink, Busaa.
Head back to your hotel later, for dinner and overnight.
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner at the Golf Hotel Kakamega.
On the next day, you will check out as you head for Kitale town which is about 2 to 3 hours drive. Upon reaching you will first check into your lodge as you have your lunch. You will then in the evening, head for Kenya’s smallest national park, Saiwa Swamp National Park.
Here you will get to see the rare Sitatunga Antelope, the De Brazza Monkey, and Bush back among others.
You will later head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight as you enjoy the views of Kitale town and the majestic Mount Elgon.

After breakfast, you will check out of your hotel as you head back to Nairobi. Enjoy the amazing views along the way such as Lake Elementaita, Lake Nakuru, the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint, and Mount Longonot.
On reaching Nairobi, you will have lunch at your preferred hotel and then be transferred to your hotel/CBD/airport. Goodbyes and farewells!
