Naicef first day of the 4-Days Kakamega Forest Tour starts with a pick up from Nairobi to Kisumu.
Our Kakamega Forest tour from Nairobi to Kisumu takes 7 hours.
This journey will have several stopovers because of the long drive.
The first stopover will be at the Chogoria viewpoint. At the viewpoint, you will see the Great Rift Valley escarpment and Mount Longonot from a distance.
You can buy souvenirs from the locals to remember your stopover experience at the viewpoint.
The next stopover is at Nakuru County. Have a 45-minute stopover at Nakuru for lunch.
Continue with the journey to Kisumu via Kericho.
The drive is a scenic one! You will see tea plantations and lush landscapes from the cruiser.
After another long drive, arrive at Kisumu County.
Check in at the Sarova Imperial Hotel for your stay.

Our second day of our Naicef Kakamega Forest National Reserve tour begins at 6:00 AM.
After a nourishing and nutritious breakfast, our Kakamega Rainforest tour from Kisumu begins.
After two hours of driving, you will arrive at the Kakamega Forest National Reserve.
Check in at the gate for your long walk inside the forest reserve.
The cruiser with your possessions will enter the reserve and drive directly to your accommodation, Isukuti House.
With a local guide, explore the reserve from the gate on foot. The long walk takes up to 3 hours.
The local guide comes from the Kakamega Rainforest Tour Guides (KRFTG).
After the walk, head on to your accommodation, Isukuti House, for lunch.
Continue with your nature walk as the guide educates you on the trees and animals in the forest.
Dine and overnight stay at the house.
The third day of the 4-Days Kakamega Forest National Reserve Tour begins after a nourishing and nutritious breakfast.
On this day, we will rise early to begin with the sunrise walk. The nature trails and trees are beautiful in the early morning.
Moreover, it is a perfect time for bird watching. Tag your binoculars along as you explore the early morning at the forest reserve.
Embark on a full day nature walk in the reserve.
The first stop will be at the waterfalls after a 2 and a half hour walk inside the reserve.
Refresh at the waterfalls before continuing with the nature walk.
After the experience at the waterfalls, continue with the nature trail towards the viewpoint.
From the viewpoint, you will see the Nandi, Malaba and Kisera forests from a distance.
Moreover, you will see the entire forest canopy and its beauty.
Have a 45-minute picnic lunch at the viewpoint.
After lunch, follow the nature trail to your way back to the accommodation. You will pass by the Luhya village and see the Luhya homesteads.
Upon arrival at the accommodation, settle as you await dinner.
Have a local entertainment from the Isukuti dancers as you enjoy the night.
Dine and overnight stay at the house.
On the fourth day of the Kakamega Forest National Reserve tour, start with a nourishing and nutritious breakfast.
This is the last day of the 4-Days Kakamega Forest Tour.
Check out of the Isukuti House and the reserve.
Drive towards Kisumu then towards Nairobi.
