You will be picked up early in the morning from your hotel/CBD/JKIA airport in Nairobi by our Naicef team.
After a short briefing, you will now begin your journey north towards Samburu National Reserve as you enjoy the scenic drive through Kenya’s highlands and semi-arid landscapes.
Upon arrival, you will first check into Sarova Shaba Game Lodge, where you will have lunch and a brief rest. Later, you will now head out for your first afternoon game drive.
Samburu is home to the rare Samburu Special Five (Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, and Beisa oryx). You may also spot Elephants, Lions, and Leopards as part of the Big Five animals.
After the game drive, return back to the lodge for a sundowner followed by a gourmet dinner.

On this day you will start off with an early morning game drive when wildlife is most active. Capture the beauty of Samburu’s rugged terrain and spot predators such as Cheetahs on the move.
From there, head back to the lodge for breakfast and relaxation at around 8:30 a.m. Later still in the morning, embark on a Samburu cultural tour to a nearby village.
Learn about traditional customs, dress, and storytelling from the local community of Samburu and even of the famous Singing Well.
After the experience, you will head back to the lodge for lunch, as you then later enjoy leisure time or opt for a guided nature walk.
In the evening, head out for another game drive, which is optional, before returning for dinner.
