Continue and head up the valley with a quick stop for views, then forge ahead while taking in the scenery.
Make your descent to the lake, put up awnings, break out cold drinks, and chill at the lake while also having a majestic view of the Cathedral Rock.
Head back to the campsite at Tum with a stopover at the village in the hills for cultural interactions with the local community.

Now, let’s venture into the amazing 5-day self drive tour!
The first day of the Lake Logipi off road safari expedition starts at Nairobi CBD. Your chief guide will give a pre-departure briefing and ensure you are all well prepared and equipped for the adventure that awaits.
You will then begin the self drive Africa safari to the northern part of Kenya, with a stopover at Delamere for breakfast and a health break. You can engage in small talk and get to know the people you are travelling with.
There will be a second stopover at Nyahururu town for fuelling, drinks, snacks, and other provisions you may need along the way. You are also advised to fill up your reserve tanks.
Enjoy sightseeing along the way of the open country roads’ landscapes.
Stopover at Maralal town, where you will air down your vehicles and top up your tanks.
You will head over to Malaso viewpoint, with a quick stop to stretch out your limbs, also known as the world’s end, as it gives the impression of standing at the end of the world.
Later, head to the campsite that is the Maralal Safari Lodge, set up camp, have dinner, and stay overnight.
You can choose to join in at the bonfire.
The second day’s final destination is Tum, which is located approximately 200 km off-road from the campsite.
You will pass through Barsaloi and Baragoi locations within Samburu.
The off road safari descent will be a steep one, and the guide will brief you on how to navigate through the slopes with minimal problems.
Enjoy the picturesque view of the vast landscape, and you’ll pass through Milgis Lagga, an absolute wonder of the north, which is a massive river bed.
There will be a quick stopover for lunch, and you will proceed with your Kenya safari self drive to Tum onwards, where you shall set up camp for the night.
This day is the adventure day as it is the day you get to head over to Lake Logipi, the main attraction of the self drive safari tour expedition.
You will commence the morning drive up and early and go through a mountain pass while following the dry riverbed that is parallel to the road.
Nestled in the mountains is the Wakanda village, where you will stop and get armed guards for safety purposes.
You can get to interact with the local community before you head back up the valley and conquer tough terrains.
Stop for the views, you might see the Kenyan Grand Canyon while you are at it.
Forge ahead, slowly enjoying the scenery while going up a steep hill, which is the Magnet Hill, and you can get the first proper sighting of Lake Logipi.

Have dinner and rest, and you can choose to go over to the bonfire.
The fourth day of the self drive Africa safari package starts early with hitting the road straight to Isiolo after breakfast.
You will get to cross R. Seiya and experience the thrill and fun of rushing across the river.
Have a quick lunch break after crossing the river, then head over to Mt. Ololokwe for the view, photography, and good vibes.
As they say, chase the sunset while heading over to the North Gate Resort in Isiolo for dinner and an overnight stay.
A bonfire will be set up where you can get to enjoy friendly banter, stories, and interact with each other.
Breakfast will be taken early in the morning before heading over to Isiolo town for final preparations for the journey back to Nairobi.
The cars can get aired up, clean the air filters, and fuel for the journey back.
