Tour Consultant Job & Role Overview
This tour consultant job requires someone sharp, organized, passionate about travel, and highly persuasive. The ideal candidate can handle clients professionally, package competitive itineraries, and consistently close sales.
Key Responsibilities
1. Convert inquiries into booked safaris, holidays, and travel experiences
2. Create itineraries, quotations, and tailor-made travel packages
3. Communicate professionally with clients across email, WhatsApp, and phone
4. Confirm bookings with hotels, airlines, lodges, and activity providers
5. Maintain updated product knowledge of East African destinations
6. Prepare client documents: invoices, vouchers, briefs
7. Deliver weekly performance and sales conversion reports
8. Support our Shifters & Movers Department
Requirements for the Tour Consultant Job Opportunity
a. 3+ years of active experience in tour consulting or travel sales
b. Degree or diploma in Tourism, Travel Operations, or Marketing
c. Strong conversion record in a competitive environment
d. Excellent communication and customer service skills
e. Ability to build tailored itineraries and accurate quotations
f. Knowledge of Kenya & East Africa travel products
g. Experience with CRM systems or booking platforms (an added advantage)
