This Mombasa 5 days cultural package journey gives you an epic transformation, from the busy city, through the African jungle and arrival at the coastal region. This long drive entailing the Nairobi to Mombasa itinerary gives you a refreshing escape from the normal routine. Visit the cultural centres in Mombasa, learn of the Mombasa International Cultural Festival, and even try a meal at a cultural restaurant Mombasa.

You will be picked up at your hotel /CBD for your long-awaited journey to Mombasa. You will be warmly met by our Naicef team. After a quick briefing, you will start your journey as you head south via the Nairobi-Mombasa Road.
Get to enjoy the views as you note the change from the busy town to the savannahs of the Tsavos where the road separates both Tsavo East & Tsavo West National Parks. You will have a stop over at Voi in Taita Taveta County for refreshing and stretching from the journey.
From there on you will head directly to Mombasa where you’ll arrive in the late afternoon. You will head directly to your hotel, Sarova Whitesands Hotel, to check in and rest on finally reaching the destination.
You will have the rest of the evening to yourself as you familiarize yourself with the area and as you enjoy the various services offered. Get to enjoy an introduction to Mombasa with deliciously prepared Swahili cuisine.
Meal Plan: Dinner
After breakfast, you will begin your Mombasa itinerary by visiting the Bombolulu workshop a cultural centre. Here you will get to see and interact with the local artisans as you learn more of the crafts such as carvings.
From there you will head for Tamarind dhow for yet another unique experience. You will be able to enjoy your lunch freshly caught from the sea while on a dhow as you enjoy the breathtaking sea views. Isn’t that amazing?
Later, you will then head for the historical site, Fort Jesus, an ancient building where slaves were kept. You will learn of the history those ruins carry and also enjoy a tour of the Mombasa Old Town and their beautiful Swahili architectural designs.
In the evening, head back to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Following yet another beautiful day in Mombasa, you will head to the Mombasa cultural village after breakfast. You will be able to immerse yourself in the rich authentic traditions and customs of the Mombasa culture. Here you will be able to learn about the different cultures found in Kenya but mainly the Swahili culture.
You will get also to learn about the Mombasa festivals such as the ‘Eid al-Fitr’. After enjoying a cultural tour of the village, you will then visit Kongewea market and enjoy a tour of the market on a normal busy day.
From there, you will then head to a cultural restaurant Mombasa, and enjoy a traditional Swahili meal with dishes like pilau or even mahamri. Mama Ngina Waterfront will then be your next point where you will enjoy a nature walk in the park as you feel the breeze from the ocean.
You will also get to enjoy a beach tour of one of the public beaches and enjoy the stunning clear views of the ocean.
Later head back to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

On your Mombasa 5 days cultural package, this day you will visit Ngomongo one of the Cultural centres in Mombasa. Here you will continue on with your cultural tour and get to learn about the various cultures in Mombasa.
You will see the traditional homesteads of those cultures and even gain knowledge of the different festivals such as the Mombasa International Cultural Festival.
After lunch, you will head for Haller Park, a rehabilitated scenic park, and ease yourself from the cultural experience and enjoy now a bond with nature.
Here you will see different game views such as Zebras, Giraffes, Hippos, and Crocodiles among others. From there you will proceed back to your hotel as you enjoy the scenic oceanic views. Later it will be dinner and overnight.

On the last day, you will check out of your hotel early in the morning after breakfast and visit a local market. Have a chance to do some shopping as you bid goodbye to Mombasa and then head straight back to Nairobi.
Upon reaching Nairobi, you will be transferred to your hotel/CBD having enjoyed the beauty of Swahili and Mombasa culture.

From there head on for a tour in Kongowea Market and enjoy trying out the street food. |
2:00 p.m | Lunch | Have your lunch at a local cultural restaurant Mombasa and enjoy a traditional meal. |
3:00 p.m | Mama Ngina Waterfront and beach tour | After enjoying your lunch, you will head to Mama Ngina Beachfront and experience a walk in the park.
Enjoy the cool breeze from the sea. From there you will have a guided beach tour to one of the public beaches. Later head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight. |

9:00 a.m | Ngomongo Cultural Centre | After breakfast, head on yet another village tour and learn more about the different cultures. Get to see also of their different traditional homestead structures. |
