Very early at 6:00 a.m, you will all assemble for a short briefing with your cars before setting off for your 3-day dust and drive. Begin your self drive safari Kenya from Nairobi via the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway as you get to enjoy the beautiful city views and watch the city waking up.
Upon arriving at Naivasha Safari Center, you will take a 15-minute break for snacks or breakfast. Eat breakfast in the car, then depart for Nakuru.
Arrive in Nakuru and take a quick 5-minute fuel stop, and then head on with your road trip towards Mogotio. You will get to stop at the equator and take photos, learn geographical facts, and interact with locals while supporting their businesses.
From there, you will head for Baringo and then take a break for a snack or early lunch. Continue lunch break with fruits and a light snack.
Visit Kenya Fluorspar Company Ltd. Take photos, then depart for Naiberi River Camp. Arrive at Naiberi River Camp. Unload the truck, set up camp, and prepare camping equipment.
Enjoy dinner, the cool breeze from the river and trees, play soft music, and relax around the bonfire.
Wake up, take in the beautiful surroundings, stretch, enjoy the morning breeze, bird songs, and fresh air. Have breakfast, take photos/videos with your group, then pack up and leave for Iten.
Arrive at Iten and then take a 15-minute fuel stop before departing for Rinoi. Once at Rinoi, you will take another 15-minute snack break.
From there, you will then stop to enjoy the view of the Great Rift Valley along the way to Kapsowar. Arrive at Wewo. Wait at the entrance of the famous Wewo Catholic Church and the day’s campsite.
Check in and drive to the church from the gate. Arrive at Wewo Catholic Church. Unload, set up your self-drive camping gear, prepare dinner, and stay overnight.
Wake up at the church, enjoy the view of the Tugen Hills, have breakfast, pack up, and interact with the host. Drive on a steep scenic road, and learn some local facts.
Stop at a waterfall. Take photos and enjoy the view. Slowly descend the Sambalot road, reaching a small town with local hawkers.
Join the tarmac road. Cross three rivers and route through the Pokot land, and then pause for a snack and restroom break.
Arrive at Chelingot. Optional stop for photos. You will then arrive at the entrance to Kapedo. Take photos as you enjoy the scenic view of the Silale Crater, then proceed to the campsite.
